I will dominate 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-round fight which will be broadcast live on Netflix.

British boxer Joshua said he will "dominate completely" the American and "defeat" the American as the combatants met personally to promote the upcoming heavyweight fight.

Former two-time world boxing king Anthony Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge uneven pairing - at Miami arena on 19 December.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will damage his features and damage his physique. I'm here to prove my superiority," the British boxer, 35, stated.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Respectful Exchange

Despite these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and social media star Paul - normally recognized for his dramatics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.

Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian rejected a bout proposal.

Targeting Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, targeted UK rival Fury - and refused a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' says he will place on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Tyson Fury - he's present here," the boxer stated.

"I give him credit for that."

Serious Fighter

In spite of declaring he will hurt Jake Paul, Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his rival's fighting skills.

"Jake is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.

Jake Paul's History

Paul - who first rose to fame on the television network - has primarily boxed MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the relative newcomer is still one of boxing's biggest commercial attractions, consistently making substantial paydays.

Forecast and Belief

The 28-year-old anticipated a knockout win in round four or five and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is allegedly in the works for two years from now.

"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul stated.

Physical Disparity

As Joshua and Paul engaged in the traditional confrontation, with their size difference evident, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how amazing it is that the fight is really going ahead.
